SASEBO, Japan (August 03, 2022) – Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Dustin Sanchez and Builder 1st Class Andrew Davis of Task Unit 75.5.7 observe as divers prepared to leave surface to execute the final underwater concrete placement at Akasaki Wharf located at US Navy Fuel Center Akasaki. Akasaki Wharf is one of the primary fueling piers for Navy assets within the 7th Fleet Area of Responsibility (AOR). UCT-2 CDD/B has been tasked with executing temporary repairs at Akasaki Wharf to prevent further undermining while the pier awaits a permanent repair.
