U.S. Marines with Maritime Raid Force, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, and Philippine reconnaissance Marines help improve each other’s bivouac sites during persistence and reconnaissance training for KAMANDAG 6 in Dadao, Calayan Island, Philippines Oct. 4, 2022. The combined training gave the U.S. and Philippine reconnaissance Marines an opportunity to share tactics, techniques, and procedures. KAMANDAG is an annual bilateral exercise between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the U.S. military designed to strengthen interoperability, capabilities, trust, and cooperation built over decades shared experiences.
