Kevin Schierholz, light tactical vehicle system integrator with the National Guard Bureau, explains features of the M997A3 Humvee ambulance--the newest ambulance system throughout the Army--during a ceremony and presentation at the Army National Guard Readiness Center in Arlington, Va., Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012. The ambulance provides increased medical support in both peace and wartime situations and features upgraded drivetrain components, improved interior layout and lighting systems and additional storage space for medical equipment.
