WRNMMC Staff Provides Breast Cancer Awareness Information

Staff of Integrative Health and Wellness Services at Walter Reed Bethesda worked at Breast Cancer Awareness Stations at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month during October. Health educators, including Dana Johnson and Adrienne Cobb, as well as volunteers such as Jane Butler, provided staff, patients and visitors information concerning breast cancer screenings, as well as answered questions related to breast cancer, and offered games focused on increasing people's knowledge about the disease. National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, established in 1985, focuses on encouraging mammography as the most effective weapon in the fight against breast cancer, as well as breast self-examination.
