John Thacker, 386th Expeditionary Medical Squadron independent duty medical technician, speaks on his favorite part of the deployment to Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait, October 25, 2022. "I enjoy helping people,” said Thacker. “I like seeing people get better. My favorite thing is when I'll go to the DFAC and someone will come up to me and say, ‘I'm feeling much better now, thank you so much.’ They think that I did something really cool, but I was just doing my job. It's good to see people improve and I like that we have that sense of community here.”
