The Petty GMS No. 42 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, driven by NASCAR Cup Series driver, Ty Dillon, completes a practice lap at Martinsville Speedway Oct. 29, 2022, before the Xfinity 500 race. It is the first time that the U.S. Space Force paint scheme has been used in competitive racing. The long-standing partnership between Petty GMS and the U.S. Air Force yields at least three races in the Cup Series season when an Air Force paint scheme is showcased on the No. 43 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Dillon’s teammate, Erik Jones. As part of a team tradition, Dillon will be honoring several women who have been affected by breast cancer with pink ribbons lining his No. 42 Chevrolet.
