Maj. Gen. Mike Oates, 10th Mountain Division and Fort Drum commander, along with 10th Mtn. Div. Command Sgt. Maj. James Redmore, thank Soldiers of the division's 1st Brigade Combat Team for their hard work and dedication. The 1st BCT deployed to the Kirkuk province located in northeastern Iraq in September, 2007, for a 15-month deployment. Oates and Redmore visited with Soldiers throughout the 1st BCT, Jan. 24th and 25th, recognizing their efforts and informing them on the state of the division.
