Maj. Gen. Mike Oates, 10th Mountain Division and Fort Drum commander, talks with Soldiers of the division's 1st Brigade Combat Team. The 1st BCT deployed to the Kirkuk province in September, 2007. They will in be in northeastern, Iraq for 15-months. Oates, along with 10th Mtn. Div. Command Sgt. Maj. James Redmore, visited with 1st BCT Soldiers Jan. 24th and 25th; recognizing their efforts and giving them updates on the state of the division.
