NAVAL BASE KITSAP – BANGOR, Wash. (Oct. 26, 2022) Tug boats reposition the Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine USS Maine (SSBN-741) at Trident Refit Facility Bangor (TRFB). During refits, submarines are moved to and from the Delta Pier, Marginal wharf and TRFB’s dry dock as needed to complete scheduled maintenance. TRFB employs more than 2,000 civilian & military personnel in support of our nation’s strategic deterrent mission by repairing, incrementally overhauling, and modernizing ballistic missile submarines in the Pacific Fleet.
