U.S. Navy Lieutenant Adam Rondina, STEM Coordinator for Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune gives a safety brief to students from the local community prior to the start of the STEM Fair on November 4, 2022. This is the first STEM Fair NMCCL has hosted since 2019.
NMCCL leadership and staff were excited to restart the STEM program which had been put on hold due to the pandemic.
The event gave students the opportunity to interact with a wide variety of health care and science fields. Approximately, 200 students from Onslow County and Camp Lejeune DoDEA schools rotated through a series of stations led by NMCCL Sailors and staff, and each station focused on a different skillset and STEM-related field.
