Air Force Academy defensive tackle Jayden Thiergood attempts to deflect a pass by Army West Point quarterback Jemel Jones. Thiergood anchored the 3-4 Falcons defense by occupying defenders in the middle, clogging running lanes and helping the Falcons limit Army's rushing game to just 78 yards on 35 rushes. Air Force went on to beat Army 13-7 November 5, 2022 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. With the win, Air Force is now bowl-eligible at 6-3, while Army falls to 3-5 on the season. The Falcons return home to host the University of New Mexico Lobos Nov. 12 and the Colorado State University Rams Nov. 19, then close out their regular season on the road at San Diego State Nov. 26.
