A U.S. Marine with III Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) prepares to rappel from an MV-22B Osprey assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 265 during a Helicopter Rope Suspension Techniques (HRST) Master Course at Landing Zone Sterling, Okinawa, Japan, Nov. 1, 2022. Fast roping allows Marines to enter landing zones that are too dangerous for helicopters to safely land.
