New York Naval Militia Marine Lance Cpl. William Kong, left, and New York Guard Pfc. Robil Rahyab, whose quick thinking helped save a baby’s life, take a break at The Hotel on Times Square in New York City on Nov. 21, where they are serving on state active duty as part of a 740-personnel mission to help New York City cope with over 17,000 migrants from South and Central America who are seeking asylum. The two belong to New York’s state defense forces which augment the New York Air and Army National Guard during state emergencies.
