Soldiers assigned to the 4th Infantry Division run a gauntlet of obstacles during a Battle of Dak To remembrance event at Fort Carson, Colo., Nov. 23, 2022.
The Battle of Dak To took place between Nov. 3, 1967 and Nov. 23, 1967. During this time, Ivy Soldiers fought fiercely alongside the 173rd Airborne Brigade. On Nov. 19, 1967, American forces began a 110-hour battle for Hill 875, and ultimately captured the hill Nov. 23, 1967. Fitting of our proud and courageous heritage, the Ivy Division is eager to carry this legacy forward in a dangerous and uncertain world. (U.S. Army photo by Spc. Joshua Zayas)
