NORFOLK, Va. (Dec. 2, 2022) Capt. Joseph Murphy, the outgoing commanding officer of the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), is awarded the Legion of Merit by Rear Adm. Tom Williams, commander of Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG) Two, during the ship’s change of command ceremony, Dec. 2, 2022. During the ceremony, Capt.
