U.S. Navy Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine USS Tennessee (SSBN 734), an United Kingdom Royal Navy Vanguard-class nuclear submarine, an E6-B Mercury assigned to the "Shadows" of Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron (VQ) 4 and an MH60R Sea Hawk helicopter attached to the “Proud Warriors” of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 72 conducted bi-lateral at sea training designed to validate tactics, techniques, and procedures which strengthens the relationship between uniquely close Allies in support of deterrence and collective security. The United States and the United Kingdom have a long-standing agreement of cooperation in the development and deployment of strategic weapons and supporting system.
