AUSTIN, Texas — Texas Army National Guard Staff Sgt. David Lee and Staff Sgt. Brittany Petersen were selected as the first recipients of the Texas JCDTF “Bullseye” coin Dec. 6, 2022, at Camp Mabry in Austin, Texas. Cut from the 20mm gun barrel of an M61-A1 Vulcan gatling gun from a Texas F-16 Fighting Falcon, this unique coin represents the recognition of a task force member’s “on target” demonstration of excellence in performance. The Texas Counterdrug Coordinator, Air National Guard Lt. Col. James F. Cobb, and Senior Enlisted Advisor, Army National Guard Command Sgt. Maj. Jesse L. Kennis II, personally select each recipient based on their individual performance that has “hit the mark” and made a significant positive impact to the program. U.S. Army National Guard photo by Sgt.
