    U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Isaiah Chatelain, a water support technician with Marine Wing Support Squadron 171, jumps from a platform during basic swim qualification at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, Dec. 15, 2022. The bilateral swim qualification brought together MAG-12 Marines and Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force personnel to improve camaraderie and cohesion between units stationed at MCAS Iwakuni while demonstrating the importance of the Marine Corps’ fundamental water survival training.
