All beneficiaries should prepare for Blanchfield Army Community Hospital and all Fort Campbell medical services to deploy the new electronic health record -- MHS GENESIS.
What can you as a BACH beneficiary do to get ready for this deployment, and the new Patient Portal coming June 3, 2023?
1) Update DEERS via MilConnect https://milconnect.dmdc.osd.mil/milconnect/
* Ensure EMAIL is current
* Ensure PHONE NUMBER is correct
* Ensure dependents are up to date
* Check all other information
* Ensure your Current Duty Station is listed
2) Create a DS Logon Account at https://myaccess.dmdc.osd.mil/identitymanagement/app/login
The TRICARE Online (TOL) Patient Portal appointing ability turns off one week (7 days) prior to the MHS GENESIS deployment. Fort Campbell’s MHS GENESIS Go Live date is June 3, 2023; therefore, the cut off for the TOL Patient Portal is May 26, 2023.
The TOL Patient Prescription Portal turns off two (2) days prior to MHS GENESIS Go-Live date. The TOL Patient Prescription Portal cut off for Fort Campbell is June 1, 2023. Additionally on June 1, 2023, patients will no longer be able to initiate messages to the care team via the TOL Patient Portal and Secure Messaging. Instead TRICARE beneficiaries who have created a DS Logon account will use the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal.
It provides 24/7 access to your electronic health record, allows you to exchange Secure Messaging with your care team, create Prescription Renewals, make On-Line Appointments, view laboratory and radiology results, fill out specific pre-consultation via Clipboard, and research health information on a Health Library.
In the Spring of 2023, an announcement date for the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal PRESCRIPTION RENEWALS & SECURE MESSAGING Go Live date will be shared. Once the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal announcement is made, beneficiaries can enroll to the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal.
