    31st Marine Expeditionary Unit       

    U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Angel Marmolejo, a radio system operator with Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, establishes communications during a ship to shore casualty care and extraction exercise at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Jan. 25, 2023. The exercise simulated a mass casualty incident to maintain combat readiness and medical preparedness. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of USS America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
