February is Black History Month and we asked our Soldiers "Why is diversity important in the U.S. Army?"
"Diversity in our Army is important because it allows us to tap into unique experiences from individuals from different backgrounds, which can lead to more effective problem solving," said Sgt. Jamya Allen, 92A Automated Logistical Supply Specialist, B Company, 602nd Aviation Support Battalion, 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division/ROK-U.S. Combined Division from Dublin, Ohio. "This helps us to better accomplish our missions. Diversity promotes inclusivity and fosters a positive and supportive environment for all Soldiers. By valuing and respecting the differences of each individual, we are able to create a more cohesive unit and build stronger bonds with our fellow Soldiers." (U.S. Army photo by KCPL Um, San Ma Ru)
