A Navy master-at-arms handcuffs a role-player during a barricaded hostage exercise aboard Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story during the Navy-wide force protection exercise Citadel Shield-Solid Curtain 2023. CS-SC23 is a regularly scheduled anti-terrorism force protection exercise conducted on naval bases and installations throughout the continental United States, Feb. 6-17. The exercise enhances the training and readiness of Navy security personnel and better prepares them for potential force protection situations.
