The event is part of a regularly scheduled anti-terrorism force protection exercise conducted on naval bases and installations throughout the continental United Stated, Feb. 6-17. “It is imperative that we train as we fight,” said Installation Commanding Officer Capt. Michael Witherspoon. “Force protection is inherently part of everyone’s mission and requires an all-hands effort to embrace a force protection mindset.”
