Today, U.S. Army Europe and Africa was honored to host Brig. Gen. Gene
Meredith, and Command Sgt. Maj. James Light. As the director of Army safety,
Meredith highlighted the #Army's excellent year in Safety during FY22. They
met with U.S. Army Europe and Africa safety team and other senior leaders to
discuss risk management, safety prevention and the Combat Readiness Center's resources that can be used throughout the European theater to continue this success. This historic decrease in mishaps indicates our Army's tireless efforts to mitigate risk. Each year U.S. Army Europe and Africa drives,
trains, and conducts parachute jumps across the European and African
continent . The Combat Readiness Center's main mission is focused on
prevention of accidental loss of our people and resources, with a vision of
a Safety Culture in the Army that focuses on a continuous application of the
risk management process. U.S. Army Europe and Africa wants to continue to
foster a culture that incorporates risk management into all operations.
