Capt. Brian Koehr, a professor of Navy science and the commanding officer of the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps Chicago Consortium, inspects Midshipman 4th Class Leana Osmer, from West Hills, Calif., a freshman student at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, in the Atlantic Fleet Drill Hall at Recruit Training Command. The consortium was on the base conducting their annual week-long freshmen orientation. The 10-day orientation gives incoming NROTC freshman a glimpse of Navy life and the type of training they will go through at their perspective units and schools.
