KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany- (from left) Army Master Sgt. Raymond LaRose and Sgt 1st Class Kyle Smith, of the United States Army Reserve Command´s Competitive Programs Cell (CIOR-MILCOMP) visited the 7th Mission Support Command on Feb. 11, 2023. LaRose and Smith are scouts and coaches, traveling across USARC´s units to build teams of Reserve Soldiers to represent the United States at this year´s Interallied Confederation of Reserve Officers Military Competition in Helsinki from June 24, to July 1, 2023. The CIOR-MILCOMP event pits company-level U.S. and Allied Reserve leaders, operating in 3-Warrior teams, to demonstrate proficiency in military field craft, endurance and medical survival. Qualifying U.S. Reserve candidates will be admitted to a 40-day training program this spring at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. They will go on to compete at U.S. and international Reserve Joint Service levels in Sweden and Finland. To apply, interested Reserve and National Guard Soldiers should submit a cover letter, a commander´s recommendation letter, a current weapon´s qualification score card and a current record Army Combat Fitness Test score card to their Command´s G3 Staff no later than April 28, 2023.
