Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story

Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story Commanding Officer Capt. Michael Witherspoon welcomes the Navy Chaplaincy Training Conference attendees at JEBLCFS Drexler Manor Conference Center, 14 Feb. More than 100 active and reserve chaplains and Religions Program Specialists attended the conference hosted by Navy Chief of Chaplains Rear Adm. Gregory Todd. Coming from all over the world, Religions Ministry Teams attended training for four days on best practices for engaging with civilian religious leaders and non-federal entities to facilitate and provide for the spiritual readiness of our service members and their families. The Naval Chaplaincy School in Newport, R.I., delivered the training and was pleased with the participants’ dynamic engagement offered all week. The feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, from the appreciation of the base and its facilities to the outstanding service provided by the base chapel’s team as the host for the conference. After the conference, RMTs left motivated to continue serving the diverse religious and spiritual needs of Sailors, Marines, and Coast Guard persons with excellence.Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story Commanding Officer Capt.
