U.S. Marines and Sailors of III Marine Expeditionary Force receive a brief by an immigration subject matter expert at the Pohang Port, Republic of Korea, on March 4, 2023. Marines and Sailors arrived from Okinawa, Japan, to participate in exercise Freedom Shield 23 with their Republic of Korea Marine Corps counterparts. Freedom Shield 23 is a defense-oriented exercise designed to strengthen the ROK-U.S. alliance, enhance combined defense posture, and strengthen security and stability on the Korean peninsula.
