U.S. Marines with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, establish communications during a visit, boards, search, and seizure on the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force’s tank landing ship JS Ozumi (LST-4001) in the Pacific Ocean, March 4, 2023. The VBSS exercise refined Marines’ skills in maritime interdiction operations by incorporating real world scenarios.
