U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Kyle Rustick, an infantry Marine with Battalion Landing Team 1/4, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, makes a radio call during platoon reinforcement training as part of Iron Fist 23 on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, March 8, 2023. During the training the Marines performed reconnaissance, conducted patrols and set security positions for follow-on tasking. Iron Fist is an annual bilateral exercise designed to increase interoperability and strengthen the relationships between the U.S. Marine Corps, the U.S. Navy, the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force.
