Officer Justin Buske, Hazardous Incident Response Team (HIRT), Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD), is scanning a simulated contaminated civilian casualty with a lite gas monitor during a decontamination training on Mar. 14 in Louisville, K.Y.
HIRT LMPD officers and members of various state National Guard Civil Support Teams trained together in a field training exercise at Churchill Downs in preparation of potential hazardous materials that may be at the Kentucky Derby.
