Staff Sgt. Zhakira Moton, noncommissioned officer in charge of administrative law, 1st Cavalry Division receives Sergeant Eric L. Coggins Award of Excellence from Janice Waugh, the mother of Sgt. Eric L. Coggins at a ceremony in Charlottesville, VA, March 24. Janice was also inducted as an honorary member of the Judge Advocate General's Corps for her dedication to the branch. “I am truly humbled and grateful to have been selected as the 24th recipient of the Sergeant Coggins Award of Excellence,” Zhakira said during her award speech. “To the former recipients, I am very honored to join your ranks, and I hope to make you all proud.” (Courtesy Photo)
