More than a dozen associates from Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime’s Maritime Customer Operations and Maritime Supplier Operations directorates had the opportunity to tour USS Bataan (LHD 5) during a visit to Naval Station Norfolk, March 6-9. USS Bataan is the fifth ship in the Wasp-class of U.S. Navy multipurpose amphibious assault ships and memorializes the valiant resistance of American and Filipino troops on the Bataan Peninsula in the dawning days of World War II.
