USAID supported Khaled with equipment, inventory, and access to electricity.
“Before, I used to receive only a $20 monthly stipend as a resident of the camp; now I earn an average of $400 a month. Because of this support to start my shop, now I can take care of my wife and not wait for others to help me,” said Khaled.

To help protect individuals who may be at risk of human trafficking, such as refugees, migrants, and those living in poverty, USAID offers a variety of support and assistance, including access to employment opportunities and resources to improve their lives and reduce their vulnerability to trafficking.
