This Joint Base Charleston Public Affairs patch was designed for the Airmen assigned to the 628th Air Base Wing Public Affairs office located at Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina, April 10, 2023. The patch depicts a C-17 Globemaster III cargo aircraft to represent the aircraft assigned to Joint Base Charleston, the palmetto trees represent the official state tree of South Carolina, the submarine submerged in water represents the watercraft that students at the the Nuclear Power Training Unit receive hands-on training aboard, and the camera lens represents a lens that public affairs specialists utilize in the field of work.
