U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Caleb Schumacher, Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) recovery non-commissioned officer, hands an American flag to U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Evan Nhu Nguyen, DPAA recovery non-commissioned officer, during a repatriation ceremony, Da Nang, Socialist Republic of Vietnam, April 10, 2023. The ceremony marked the culmination of the efforts of two recovery teams and one investigative team to recover service members unaccounted for during the Vietnam War. During the ceremony, the honor guard team will escort the potential osseous material for transport to the DPAA Laboratory at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Hi.
