This #FortRileyFriday we visit Fire Station No. 2 on Main Post. Constructed of #limestone in 1932, Fire Station No. 2 is located at 430 Godfrey Avenue between Pershing and Carpenter Avenues.
The firefighting crews who man Fire Station No. 2 are unique in that they do not have a specialty. In addition to their primary responsibility of fighting fires on Main Post, they are trained to assist other crews in fighting grass fires, providing EMS support and the yearly testing of fire hydrants. One might say they specialize in every aspect of firefighting.
