NAVAL STATION MAYPORT, Fla. – (April 17, 2023) – Lt. j.g. Charmaine Solis, USS Mason (DDG 87) Navigator, briefs partner nation attachés on her ship’s bridge during the Department of the Navy Foreign Attaché visit to U.S. Naval Station Mayport, Fla., April 17. The Navy conducts Navy and Marine Corps installation visits around the country to expose partner nation officers to U.S. capabilities and to help them better understand the Navy’s organization. This visit featured 16 attachés from 15 partner nations. These visits take place on behalf of the Chief of Naval Operations and the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Information Warfare (N2/N6). U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet employs maritime forces in cooperative maritime security operations to maintain access, enhance interoperability, and build enduring partnerships in order to enhance regional security and promote peace, stability and prosperity in the Caribbean, Central and South American region.
