USCGC Eagle crew members conduct emergency onboard fire evolution

Petty Officer 3rd Class Autumn Hinkley, a machinery technician assigned to USCGC Eagle (WIX 327), receives damage control instruction while acting as nozzleman from Petty Officer 1st Class, Ryan Frattaroli, a cutter training specialist assigned to Afloat Training Organization Portsmouth, aboard Eagle, May 4, 2023, and hose-tending support from Seaman Jason Alvarez, a crew member assigned to Eagle, while underway in the North Sea. Eagle conducted a four-month summer deployment, sailing across the Atlantic Ocean, to teach practical seamanship skills to officer candidates from the U.S. Coast Guard and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Corps, foreign military personnel, and shared best practices with sailing organization Tall Ships America, while cadets and crew facilitated diplomatic engagements with U.S. allies in Northern Europe, the Portuguese archipelagoes of the Azores and Madeira, and Bermuda.
