Sgt. Tyler Engbretson, infantryman, Troop C, 2nd Squadron, 106th Cavalry Regiment, 33rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Illinois Army National Guard, runs 50-meters while carrying two 40-pound water cans as part of the mystery event of the Region IV Army National Guard Best Warrior Competition at Camp James A. Garfield Joint Military Training Center, Newton Falls, Ohio, May 4, 2023. The mystery event was the Expert Physical Fitness Assessment, which consisted of a one-mile run, then complete dead-stop push-ups, a 100-meter sprint, lift 16 sandbags onto a 66-inch tall platform, 50-meter farmers carry with two 40-pound water cans, a 25-meter-high crawl, a 25-meter three-five second rush and another one-mile run. The Region IV BWC promoted esprit de corps and included ARNG Soldiers who demonstrated commitment to the Army Values and embodied the Warrior Ethos. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Spc.
