Lauro Cavazos Sr. was a Kineños at King Ranch, serving as the division manager for the Santa Gertrudis Division at the ranch from 1926 to 1958. Among his many duties as division manager, he oversaw both cattle and horse breeding. Cavazos Sr. is seen riding a horse above the door within the King Ranch Museum.
