(May 23, 2023) U.S. Naval Academy Midshipmen observe a Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC), attached to Assault Craft Unit 5 (ACU 5), after a beach landing during Midshipman Summer Training on Naval Amphibious Base Coronado, May 23, 2023. Midshipmen Summer Training occurs annually to prepare Midshipmen to be future commissioned officers and leaders of the Navy and Marine Corps. ACB 1 is headquartered in San Diego and is the sole Navy unit to conduct Improved Navy Lighterage System missions.
