U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 1st Battalion, 14th Field Artillery Regiment, 75th Field Artillery Brigade, load an M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) alongside their Tunisian counterparts prior to transporting the HIMARS to the training location for use during African Lion 23, Ben Ghilouf Training Area, Tunisia, May 25, 2023. AL23 is a critical opportunity for members of the joint team to build and test their strategic readiness in a multi-domain environment. Eighteen nations and approximately 8,000 personnel will participate in African Lion 2023, U.S. Africa Command's largest annual combined, joint exercise that will take place in multiple countries to include Tunisia from May 13 - June 18, 2023.
