Chief Warrant Officer 2 Joseph Lavoie, a Navy retiree and boatswain of more than 23 years, salutes the flag as Sailors complete a 6-person fold during a military honors funeral at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington, May 31, 2023. The funeral honored Lt. Cmdr. Richard “Skip” Brunhaver, a Vietnam-era naval aviator and former prisoner of war. Brunhaver was forced to eject from his aircraft and subsequently captured Aug. 24, 1965.
