One distinguished alumnus in attendance was Retired Chief Warrant Officer 4 William Splichal. At 99-years-old, this former commander of the 43rd Army Band, traveled from Texas for the 75th anniversary event where he took to the podium and conducted John Philip Sousa's Golden Jubilee.
