USACE Galveston District Commander Col. Christopher Sallese presents Joe Hrametz, chief of the district’s Operations Division, with a blue star flag and framed feature story of Project Manager Michelle Clark, Operations Division, as part of the district’s Blue Star Deployment Recognition Program. The program, which seeks to recognize staff members for their service to the nation, provides the deployed members’ supervisors with flags and stories to be hung outside of their offices until they complete their deployment and return stateside. Clark returned to the district in October 2012, following a six-month deployment in Afghanistan.
