Joseph Daily, a former sergeant who served with Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, as a rifleman during the Vietnam War, shares a laugh with Capt. Patrick Acox, an officer serving with the battalion, after the unveiling of the battalion's Vietnam War Memorial Plaque here, Nov. 15, 2012. The plaque is dedicated to the 654 Marines and sailors of 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines, who paid the ultimate sacrifice during the Vietnam War. Daily, a 63 year-old native of Thermal, Calif., joked that the only difference between the current generation of Marines and the Marines of his time was they were more attractive.
