Texas and Rhode Island National Guard Soldiers of 1st Battalion, 143rd Infantry Regiment (Airborne), conduct freedom of movement direct training, June 5, 2023, Hohenfels Training Center, Germany. FOM-D training provides Soldiers the skills needed to clear barriers from roadways and passages during civil unrest, defend themselves from combatants, as well as how to diplomatically speak with local key leaders to quell civil unrest.
