Gulf of Alaska (May 7, 2023) The honor guard lowers the ensign to half-mast aboard the Arleigh Burk-class guided-missile destroyer USS Momsen (DDG 92) for the Burial at Sea ceremony in the Gulf of Alaska, May 7, 2023 during Exercise Northern Edge 2023. Thousands of U.S. service members, five ships and more than 150 aircraft are participating in Northern Edge 2023 (NE23-1), a joint field training exercise at various locations in and around Alaska.
