EAST CHINA SEA (June 5, 2023) Resolve-class tanker HMCS Asterix, the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Chung-Hoon (DDG 93), Asahi-class destroyer JS Shiranui (DD 120), the Anzac-class frigate HMAS Anzac (FFH 150) and the Halifax-class frigate HMCS Montreal (FFG 336) sail in formation during Surface Action Group operations as a part of exercise “Noble Wolf”. USS Chung-Hoon is participating in multi-lateral exercises in the East China Sea with the Royal Australian Navy, Royal Canadian Navy and the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force. Multi-later exercises like this reassure our allies and partners of the U.S. commitment to maintaining a free and open Indo-Pacific.
